The Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) has announced their Workforce Connect Fund initiative for Small Businesses.
This grant is designed to assist small businesses in addressing their workforce challenges.
Activities that this funding will cover, in which Integrated HR are specialists in, includes:
- Expert HR consulting and coaching:
- workshops addressing leadership, participation and talent management challenges
- conducting culture surveys to gain feedback, assess employee motivation and morale
- implementing annual performance appraisal process
- Streamlined workforce solutions:
- implementing HR and workforce software systems and tailored resources
- workforce systems to support employee onboarding and offboard and the \’paperwork\’
- comprehensive policy and procedure manuals, tailored employment agreements, guidelines for HR operations
- Targeted recruitment services:
- specialised and streamlined recruitment campaigns to attract and retain talent
- create recruitment, attraction and retention strategies specific to your business.

To be eligible, your business must:
- Have an active ABN
- Be registered for GST
- Demonstrate principal place of business is in Queensland
- Have fewer than 20 employees (by headcount)
- Gave an annual turnover of less than $10 million
- Demonstrate that at least 50% of the business\’s income is generated directly from the business (i.e. not solely investments or government funding)
- Declare that owners / directors are not insolvent or undischarged bankrupt

The Queensland Government has allocated $1million of funds. Applications will be accepted until 30 June 2025 or when funds have been exhausted (whichever is sooner).
